Description: Amanita ovoidea, known as the European white egg or bearded amanita, is a large, white to cream-colored mushroom with a cottony ring and thick volva, found in Mediterranean regions. Though sometimes considered edible locally, it closely resembles deadly Amanita species and is generally not recommended for consumption.
