Description: Neoboletus luridiformis, commonly known as the scarletina bolete or red foot bolete, is a striking red-pored mushroom found in Europe and North America. Though edible when thoroughly cooked, it can cause gastrointestinal distress if eaten raw or undercooked and is sometimes confused with the toxic Rubroboletus satanas.
